The RADA team were described as being a standout team by the judges and received much praise with the Sight reading scene being described as being ‘by far the best interpretation of the scene in this year’s event’. In addition all four students were also awarded various commendations for different elements of the competition adding up to a combined total of six commendations for the RADA team. All four students were praised for their work resulting in Izabella gaining a commendation; Josh winning a runner-up prize (a role in a BBC radio drama production during 2010); and Pippa and Iain winning the top prize (a five month contract to join the Prestigious Radio Drama Company).

Edward Hicks, Head of Film, TV & Radio says:

"The BBC Carleton Hobbs Bursary is extremely competitive with 80 students from 20 different drama schools participating and having all 4 members of the RADA team receiving commendations and praise is a fantastic result. Having witnessed first-hand how dedicated and hard working the team were I’m extremely grateful to David Timson who coached the team and to the students Pippa, Iain, Josh and Iza for all the extra work they put in."
